I have a letter written about
John Duncan HARVEY and Elizabeth "Betsey" SUGGS. They were both said to
be born in the vicinity of Asheville, NC. They married in NC in 1814 or
1815 and moved on to Alabama and eventually Texas. The letter states Suggsville,
Alabama was named for Betsey. I would be happy to share the letter with
anyone interested and would be very interested in any info about SUGGS
or HARVEY. Thanks,

Organization: Jim The Plumber John "Henry" Dryman, sr. and his sons, Henry
Dryman, Jr.; John; and James were in Buncombe County by 1805 when he bought
land from Nathan Smith, in 1807 Henry deeded 110 acres to each son and
household/livestock to "his only daughter" Sarah. But I believe that he
had another daughter, perhaps by another marriage, Margaret Dryman who
married John Goldman
in Greene County, TN in 1798. Both the Dryman and Goldman families were
on the 1810 census in Buncombe. In 1820 Henry, Sr. & JR. and James
are found and by 1830 both Henry's had moved to Macon Co. NC and James
to Pickens Co. SC. I don't know where John and the Goldman's went. I have
Dryman info to share, my line is thru James and would like to know more
about the others. Sherry Osburn,

(M. Robinson) I have some dates and names, but not much more. ANY info

was born in Mars Hill on July 23, 1894. HIs parents were James Robinson
(b. 1858 in Black Mountain, d. Dec. 18,189?) and Polyanna Jarvis. I have
no other info on her, except names of her parents and three generations
beyond. Her father, Silas Jarvis, was a sharpshooter in the Confederate
army and claimed the life of General Sedgewick, or so he said. James Robinson's
parents were John Creighton Robinson (b. 1835 in Yancy County, d. July
7, 1918) and Mary England (b. 18?? in SC?). John is buried in Boyd's Chapel
Cemetary. His parents were William R. Robinson (b. 1806) and Nancy Clouse
(b. 1814). Not all of my dates have been confirmed, but I'm sticking with
them until otherwise proved by facts and not passed down lore. I do have
some names of children other than those in my direct line, if you are interested.
